2011 NomCom

The PASS Nomination Committee is chaired by Immediate Past President Wayne Snyder. The NomCom vets all potential Board of Directors candidates and oversees the entire elections process.

 Wayne Snyder (Chair)

PASS Immediate Past President
Wayne Snyder has been a database administrator for development, production, and support environments since 1981. As a Managing Consultant for Mariner in Charlotte, NC, he provides information solutions to businesses using business intelligence tools and techniques. He has been using SQL Server since its first release and is a SQL Server MVP. His credits include articles for several magazines and a 35-video and CD training series for Learnkey. Snyder is also an MCT, MCSE, and MCDBA and has received several technical awards from Unisys for database strategies and techniques developed during his tenure at Unisys Healthcare Systems.
 

Thomas LaRock

PASS Director
Thomas LaRock is a seasoned IT professional with over a decade of technical and management experience. Currently serving as a Senior DBA for Confio Software, Thomas has progressed through several roles in his career, including programmer, analyst, and DBA. He holds an MS degree in Mathematics from Washington State University and is a member of the Usability Professional’s Association. Thomas currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Professional Association for SQL Server (PASS) and is a SQL Server MVP. He can also be found blogging at http://thomaslarock.com and is the author of DBA Survivor: Become a Rock Star DBA (http://dbasurvivor.com).
 

 Bradley Ball

Committee Member
Bradley Ball has participated in 24 Hours of PASS and SQLSaturday #49 in Orlando. He has presented at 11 events this year, including SQLSaturday, SQL Server User Groups, and PASS SQLRally and will be presenting at PASS Summit 2011. Fairly new to the PASS community, Brad has participated in being an interviewer for job fairs, panel interviews, and one-on-one interviews for private businesses.  Jack Corbett

Committee Member
Jack Corbett has been involved in the PASS community since October 2007, when he attended the first SQLSaturday. He became active in his local user group (OPASS) and took over as president of it in 2010. Jack has helped organize two SQLSaturdays (#21 and #49) as well as the inaugral PASS SQLRally event. He also participated on the PASS Summit 2010 Program Committee. Jack's bid to become a nominee for the PASS Board in 2010 uniquely qualifies him for the NomCom. He understands the steps necessary to show that you are qualified to be a successful member of the Board. Jack's blog can be found at www.wisemanorwiseguy.com.
 

 Roy Ernest

Committee Member
Roy Ernest has led the Curacao SQL Server User Group for over 2 years and regularly presents at its meetings. He is a guest columnist and a regular member of SQL Server Central. Roy has been an Ambassador at PASS Summit and is part of the organizing committee bringing you SQLSaturday #103, Curacao in 2012. As an international representative on the NomCom, Roy brings unique insight to the PASS elections. Roy's blog can be found at RumblingDBA.

Elections News

Elections 1-2-3

3 seats are open for the 2011 Board elections. They are for 2-year terms. 

2 mid-term vacancies are coming up in January. These are NOT up for election. They can remain unfilled, but if they are filled, it will be by Board vote as per the bylaws.

1 vote can make a difference. Vote!

Who's in Charge?

The PASS Nomination Committee is responsible for overseeing the Board of Directors general election from start to finish.
